Priority directions of scientific activity of the university:
- research of problems of life sciences and development of biotechnologies, preservation and enrichment of bioresources and improvement of their quality and safety, preservation of biodiversity;
- research of problems of social sciences and humanities;
- research of problems of physical-mathematical and technical sciences (intellectual information and information-analytical technologies; integrated systems of databases and knowledge; national information resources; technologies and means of development of software products and systems; technologies and means of mathematical modeling, optimization and system analysis solving extremely complex tasks of national importance).
Areas of artistic activity of the university:
- choreographic art (classical, folk-stage, Ukrainian folk, ballroom, modern dance);
- fine arts (drawing, painting, decorative arts, graphics);
- musical art (vocal and instrumental).
