Open Day!
On February 27, 2021, for the second Saturday in a row, Kherson State University held an Open Day. More than 500 graduates of schools of Kherson and the region, students of Beryslav Vocational Pedagogical College. VF Benkovsky and Henichesky Vocational College - structural subdivisions of KSU, visited our university. High school students saw the powerful material and technical base of KSU, talked to representatives of the teaching staff, visited the park town, modern swimming pool, libraries. Excursions by faculties were organized for high school students. The Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Journalism welcomed its entrants! The student body of the faculty together with the deans Iryna Hoshtanar told about the possibilities of studying at the faculty. Applicants had the opportunity to visit modern classrooms, try themselves as journalists and get answers to questions that arose. The Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Journalism is modern, interesting and prestigious.
The English Speaking Club, organized by the Department of Translation Studies and Applied Linguistics, has started its work! The first meeting was held at the modern co-working center of KSU, Scientific Library. The first-year students of the Faculty of Foreign Philology and high school students of Kherson Specialized School of the I-III degrees № 52 were engaged in the event. The urgent topic “Mobile phones while studying: pros and cons” was discussed in an interactive form. Kateryna Frantsuzova and Yuliia Hlavatska – the meeting moderators – professionally created a warm and friendly atmosphere for communicating in English. We thank all the participants for their interest in the event and invite you to take part in further meetings of the club!
