Creative Europeis the European Commission`s framework program for support to the culture and audiovisual sectors. The program aims to protect, develop and promote cultural and linguistic diversity. The program will also contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of Europe`s cultural and creative sectors.

Approximate amount of financing from the EU budget is €1.46 billion.

The program consists of two sub-programs: CULTURE (31% of the budget) and MEDIA (56% of the budget). There is also cross-sectoral strand (13 % of the budget), which supports the establishment of the Guarantee Facility and a network of Creative Europe Desks.

The total budget of the program for seven years is almost €1.5 billion. €824 million is allocated to the MEDIA sub-program, €455 million to the CULTURE sub-program and €184 million to the cross-sectoral strand. €121 million will be allocated to the  Guarantee Facility (a tool for facilitating the access of cultural and creative sectors to sources of funding through provision of guarantees) and  €63 million to facilitating transnational cooperation.

International Mobility Grant

Grants for specialists in the field of culture and creative industries for trips to the EU countries (vice versa).

The maximum grant amount available per mobility will be €2,250 (for visits of between one and two weeks) and €4,000 (for visits of between three and four weeks).

Travel Formats:

-conferences,

- networking events,

-  fora related to culture and/or the creative industries,

- exchange of experience and partnership building.

 

International mobility grants are open to individuals and organisations located in the EU and Ukraine.

They may be:

 public and private cultural institutions;

 young artists, creators and cultural entrepreneurs;

 community leaders and influencers;

 local civil society organisations;

 educational institutions (private and public) and their managers;

 local government departments of culture.

 

Visiting countries: EU members and Ukraine.

Goal: professional development of specialists and promotion of cultural cooperation and intercultural dialogue between Ukraine and the EU through projects.

Who can apply: the sending organisation, proposed traveller or their proposed host can apply.

National Cooperation Project Grant

 

Grants to Ukrainian organisations from at least two non-neighbouring regions of Ukraine for the implementation of joint projects in the cultural and creative industry spheres. This category is not open to individuals.

 

Applications for this grant should address at least one of the following objectives:

 

·        Raising awareness of the importance of culture for economic development and social cohesion.

·        Developing the knowledge and capacity of operators working in the cultural and creative sectors.

·        Stimulating greater participation in cultural activities by the general public

·        Engaging under-represented or marginalised groups in cultural activity.

·        Encouraging cooperation between civil society organisations (CSOs), public sector organisations and private sector organisations operating in the cultural and creative sectors.

·        Exploring diversity and promoting intercultural dialogue through cultural activity.

 

Eligibility
Project submission is open exclusively to organisations from Ukraine, in particular, civil society organisations, public sector organisations and private organisations (including for-profit organisations) working in the cultural and creative sectors. The project should be implemented by at least two Ukrainian organisations based in non-neighbouring regions (oblasts) of Ukraine.

 

One partner is responsible for submission of the application on behalf of all organisations who wish to collaborate on the project. Subsequently, the applicant partner will bear responsibility for signing and adhering to all terms of the agreement, including project financial accounting and reporting. Applicants must have appropriate legal status to receive charitable grants.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PROJECTS GRANTS

 

Grants for cultural operators based in Ukraine and EU for the implementation of joint projects that promote cultural and creative exchanges between Ukraine and the EU, and / or result in the development of original cultural products.

 

This category is only open to (informal) partnerships of organisations located in Ukraine and the EU, and not to individual.

 

The project should involve Ukraine and at least one EU member state.

 

Projects should address at least one of the following objectives:

·        Raising awareness of the importance of culture for economic development and social cohesion.

·        Developing the knowledge and capacity of operators working in the cultural and creative sectors.

·        Stimulating greater participation in cultural activities by the general public.

·        Engaging under-represented or marginalised groups in cultural activity.

·        Encouraging cooperation between civil society organisations (CSOs), public sector organisations and private sector organisations operating in the cultural and creative sectors.

·        Exploring diversity and promoting intercultural dialogue through cultural activity.
