Within the framework of the agreement about mutual co-operation, ffifth-year students of the Foreign Philology Institute had a possibility to train in the University Tómer in Ankara (Turkey) during 3 weeks in June 2004.

The Turkish project’s program of summer training included arrival of students from 13 countries such as Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova etc in order to improve their language skills and get to know more about Turkish culture. Trainings’ schedule provided 5-6 lessons every day, except Saturday and Sunday. Students took two exams: one was in the very beginning just to discover the language level, and the second was at the end of program to sum up all the learning material.

It is well-known, that communication is the aim and the mean of studying at same time. That is why; it had to be not only very useful for students to combine different activities during lessons, but also a possibility of lively talk.

Friendly relations between students are still going on. They send mails to students from Belarus, Turkey and Russia.

Within the framework of the agreement about mutual co-operation between Turkish International Cooperation Administration of the Prime Ministry of Turkish Republic (ТІCА) and Kherson State University, professor Mehmet Terzy came in September to our university. He directs student’s self-dependent work and conducts individual lessons on Turkey in the Center of Turkish language and Culture.

The coordinator of the center is Kischenko Yulia.
