The Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Journalism carries out specialised training of teachers of foreign languages and world literature, university teachers, translators, and specialists in applied linguistics at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education. Students study English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, and Turkish languages. The faculty maintains close ties with institutions of higher education in Ukraine and abroad, in particular, Poland, Germany, Austria, and Great Britain, and provides educational internships, language courses, linguistic schools for applicants, and joint scientific and practical conferences in cooperation with them. Students take an active part in academic mobility programs and have the opportunity to study under the double degree program. The infrastructure of Kherson State University is developed for the services of students of higher education and includes modern lecture halls, classrooms of multimedia technologies for learning foreign languages, a language room, a scientific library, modern sports halls, a swimming pool, dormitories, cafes, a medical centre. Students of the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Journalism have an interesting and rich student life: classes at the Modern Dance Studio and the Faculty's Vocal Group; participation in various creative contests, festivals, sports competitions, and volunteer activity.
