Student Council

Student government helps in solving issues of education and protection of students' rights, participates in the management of representative bodies. The Student Council is created on the initiative of students and is an integral part of the student government of Kherson State University. Student self-government bodies operate on the principles of voluntariness, collegiality, openness, election and accountability.

The purpose of student government is to create conditions for self-realization of students and the formation of their organizational skills, leadership skills, responsibility for the results of their work and more.

The activities of student self-government bodies are aimed at improving the educational process, improving its quality, ensuring the education of spirituality and culture of students, the growth of social activity in student youth.

The main tasks of student government are to protect the rights and interests of students; ensuring that students fulfill their responsibilities; promotion of educational, scientific and creative activities of students; participation in the discussion and solution of issues of improving educational activities, research work; promoting the formation of students' moral and ethical norms, education of patriotism; promotion of a healthy lifestyle, safe behavior, prevention of offenses by students; promoting the improvement of living and recreation conditions of students in the dormitories of the University; promoting the creation of student groups, societies, associations, interest clubs; cooperation with student self-government bodies of other higher educational institutions; promoting the employment of University graduates and attracting students to secondary employment in their free time; ensuring student participation in solving issues of international student exchange; ensuring student participation in the implementation of state youth policy; representation in collegial, working and advisory bodies of the University and its separate structural subdivisions; involvement of students in their free time to participate in public works on landscaping near the University and student dormitories; control over the academic and labor discipline of students; participation in the work of the scholarship commission; cooperation with curators of academic groups, dean of the faculty and heads of other structural units of the University.
