Participation in International Projects

One of the main missions of Kherson State University is a training and realization of international scientific and educational projects, attraction of funds of international organizations for financing of these projects.

1998 - 2000

In 1998-2000 Kherson State University (KSU) took part in the project<a > TACIS TEMPUS CD – 21135 – 20000 Informational Infra-System of Higher Educational Institutions. The partners of this project were Universite de Nice-Sophia Antipolis and University of Granada. As a result of this project Informational Analytical System of Kherson State University was created.

Results:

  1. Informational infrastructure of KSU as complex of organizational and technical activities created.
  2. Integrated informational system in KSU and BPC developed and created.
  3. Specialists of administrative departments of KSU and BPC had been trained.
  4. Local network of KSU was extended.


2002 - 2004

In 2002-2004 KSU took part in the project IB_JEP 22045 - 2001 IB_JEP – 22045 – 2001 Land Reform and Land Market Development in Ukraine” . The EU partners of this project were Universite de Nice-Sophia Antipolis (Fr), Direction Departementale de l’Equipement-Alpes-Marittimes, Nice (Fr), Politechnico di Torino (Italy)

Results:

  1. Educational-informational center for land resource control of KSU created.
  2. 10 lecturers are trained.
  3. Educational materials are developed.
  4. 50 land administrators are retrained.
  5. Software is developed.
  6. Examination of state politics in area of land market is performed.

 

2003 - 2005

In 2003 KSU received from European Commission a grant for realization of two year project “Unit-Net –IT in the Network of University Management”. The aim of the project was to develop Unit-Net for distribution of leading experience of application of informational technologies in the management of higher educational institutions.

 Results:

  1. Creation of network UnIT-NET.
  2. Defining the best practice  of using IT in control of universities.
  3. Creation of the laboratory of software testing.
  4. Testing and refinement of existing software for control of universities.

 

2003 - 2006

During 2001-2002 State University of New York (SUNY) Canton, SUNY Pdosdam and Chairs of Economical Theory and Economic – Mathematic Methods of Management, Center of Computer Technologies and Department of International Relations of Kherson State University (KSU) prepared the joint project “Northern New York and Southern Ukraine: New University Partnership for Business and Economic Development ”. In 2003 this project was funded by Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs US Department of State Freedom Grant

Results:

  1. The Center of supporting of small and medium business on base of KSU is createfd.
  2. Internships of lecturers of economics in USA.
  3. Educational courses on “Business-control” program are developed.
  4. Retrain towards the Center of employment by the “Business-control” program.

 

2005 – 2007

KSU received from European Commission a grant for realization two year project Tempus TACIS “Geographic Information Systems in Agrarian Universities”

Results:

  1. Educational literature development.
  2. Distance courses development.
  3. Educational software development.

 

2006 - 2008

International two year project  “ECDL for Ukrainian Administrators”(33.50 KB)
