On June 7th Сoordination Meeting took place at Kherson State University within the framework of the International Project Tempus IV CruiseT. The University hospitably received Foreign Professors, as well as Hotel and Restaurant Business and Tourism Representatives in Kherson Region. Activities in the frames of the Program will last until June 11th.
At the openings ceremony the Rector Vasyl Stratonov greeted the KSU guests. He expressed gratitude to the organizers for holding of the high-ranking event and wished fruitful work to the participants. The moderator was Oksana Lavrykova, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Research-Pedagogical Activities and Communication Technologies. She focused on the organizational issues of the meeting and represented its aim. Natalia Vasylieva, the project manager, also addressed to the audience, she acquainted the participants of the event with the directions of the project's work during three years.
In the framework of the plenary session, lectures were given by three professors: Wolfgang Fuchs on the subject "Service Quality - Selected Tools", Yana Kucherova on the subject "Regional tourism policy in Slovakia" and Philippe Corradini on the subject "Digital Media & Tourism". At the end of the working day, guests were offered a city tour.
The next day there was planned the meeting of the monitoring participants with the administration of Kherson State University, presentation of the received project results at the time of the monitoring and the presentation of the Project Coordinator from Ukraine, Professor, Vice-Rector of Scientific and Methodological Work and International Activities of the National University "Odessa Maritime Academy" S. Zaichko. In addition, consideration and discussion of materials, publications, documentation created within the Project implementation will be conducted.
Within the Program framework there will also be a meeting-interview with the Project Team from KSU and the team from NU "OMA"; meeting with stakeholders who are not Official Project Partners; with responsible persons for financial documentation and financial administration at Partner Universities; with teachers, administrative staff and other representatives of higher education institutions who are not Project Participants; with students at the level of Higher Education "Bachelor" and "Master" of the Specialty "Tourism" and "Management and Administration" (KSU and NU "OMA"), who use the Project Results; Presentation of the received equipment and created Training Classes, Laboratories, etc. in the framework of the Project; summarizing and discussion of the monitoring results.
On June 10th, the final day of the project participants work will be held on the basis of green tourism "Chaika" (Gola Prystan).
It should be noted that participation in the Tempus IV CruiseT Project "Regional Cruise Tourism Development Competence Center in the Black Sea Region" is extremely perspective for Kherson Region. Thanks to participation in it Kherson Region gains positive image in the field of tourist attraction, studies and puts into practice European experience in the formation of new standards of Tourist Service.
