16.06-21.06.2014. Participation in the II Coordination meeting within the frame of TEMPUS CruiseT in Bremerhaven (Germany)

 

 

                             

 

       

From June 16th till June 21st the II Coordination meeting of the Project participants of the European Committee TEMPUS “Regional competence centre for the development of cruise tourism in the Black Sea Region” was held in the city of Bremerhaven. The partners from Germany and Italy, Romania and Bulgaria, Georgia and Ukraine discussed plans of the competence centers development and their contribution in such areas in cruise tourism as «workshops», «research/consulting», identified the priorities of the centers development.

       

Kherson State University is one of the Project partners, so our University representatives, in particular the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Science, Human Health and Tourism, Associate Professor Lavrykova Oksana and specialist of the 1st category of International Relations Office Lonskyi O.V., also took part in above mentioned meeting.

       

The meeting program was rich by presentations, plans discussion of the centers development, seminars, reports, conferences and excursions. In particular, the partners got acquainted with Bremerhaven University and listened to the presentations on different topics, as follows: «Education opportunities in Germany (as the master program alternative)», «Cruise tourism Management», «Educational programs in cruise tourism», «Absence of qualified specialists in cruise sphere» and others. Also, the number of informative seminars, workshops as to the research and consulting in cruise tourism was held, presentations as for the plans of the cruise tourism development were led in the regions from the project partners of Georgia, Ukraine, Germany.

During the event final stage the overall results were supplied by the meeting partners, activity aims and directions of the competence centers of cruise tourism were clearly defined, and also further prospects of their development were outlined.
