On January 30th, 2015 at Kherson Vocational School of Communication and Polygraph Industry and Kherson Regional Juvenile Library named after B.Lavrenov the enlarged meeting of the regional working group on project preparation of the Draft Concept development of tourism and resort branch of the Kherson region was held.
Members of the Regional Coordination Council regarding questions of recreation-resort complex and tourism development, Social organization representatives «The Association of Hospitality Industry of Ukraine», Public organizations in travel destination, Research institute «Ukrainian Enterprise Institute», tourist business, Higher Education Institutions and Research Institutions, promotion companies and Mass Media took part in the meeting. Representatives of Kherson State University didn’t stay aside this important event, that is the Head of the Department of Tourism of the Faculty of Natural Science, Human Health and Tourism, Associate Professor Ph.D. in Economics Yurchenko Viktor and Senior lecturer of the Department of Tourism of the Faculty of Natural Science, Human Health and Tourism, Candidate of Geographical Sciences Yanina Vasylevska.
Director of the Department of External Economic Activity, Tourism and Resorts of Kherson Regional State Administration Serhii Pavlov spoke at the beginning of the meeting with opening remarks. Further, according to the meeting program, many important questions, first of all, as for the basic principles of cooperation of Kherson Regional State Administration and Social organization «The Association of Hospitality Industry of Ukraine » as to the project preparation of the Draft Concept development of tourist and resort branch of Kherson Region and as to the setting the stage of implementation of the investment and innovative model development of tourist and resort spheres of Black Sea regions of Ukraine were discussed . The attention was paid to the question of the creation of Regional Social Organization center of Ukrainian Public Union «The Association of Hospitality Industry of Ukraine» and its participation in the project preparation above mentioned Concept.
At the end of the plenary session the meeting participants involved in the discussion on the implementation of the mutual project with Google "Digital opportunities of tourism development in protected areas of Kherson Region: campaign progress" and creation of the regional community cartographers, where Yuri Antoshchuk expressed his thoughts and ideas,- Kherson Regional Charitable Foundation «Union» and Oleg Kostyukevich – the cartographer of the Cartographers Community Google MapMaker in Ukraine.
After small interval, with the participation of the members of the Regional Coordination Council on questions of recreation-resort complex and tourism development, the creative platforms started their activity.
The participants of the event had an opportunity to join the alignment meeting with the representatives of the Universities and Research Institutions of Kherson region on theme «The scientific accompaniment of the realization of project implementation of the investment and innovative model development of tourist and resort spheres of Black Sea regions of Ukraine, the project preparation of the Draft Concept resort complex and tourism development of Kherson region» at Alexander Yurchenko presidency – the Director of the Research Institute «Ukrainian Enterprise Institute ».
The representatives of Kherson State University, Yurchenko Viktor and Yanina Vasylevska, took an active part in the alignment meeting for the Cartographers Community members of Kherson region on theme:”Organizational and technological foundations of the digitization territories and tourist objects, marking on map Google Map in World Wide Web.” The workshop was held by: Eugene Kartsan– the cartographer of Cartographers Community Google MapMaker in Ukraine and Yuri Antoshchuk – the Head of Kherson Regional Charitable Foundation «Union».
In general, this meeting gathered 50 people, who had an opportunity to join the participation in this meeting, to express their thoughts and discuss them productively with their colleagues. Absolutely, this event is an important step in the questions of development of tourism and resort branch of our region.
