On March 17th, 2015 the senior lecturer of the Human Health Department of the Faculty of Natural Science, Human Health and Tourism of Kherson State University, Vasilyeva Nataliia took part in the Round table "Digital opportunities of tourism development in protected areas of Kherson Region: campaign progress", that was in the village of Askania Nova of Kherson Region on the basis of the F.E. Faltz –Fein Biosphere reserve «Askania Nova»
The event was held in the program framework "Digital transformation in Kherson Region" with the support and assistance of the Company «Google Ukraine», Kherson Regional Charitable Foundation «Union» in cooperation with the International Business Department, Tourism and Resorts of Kherson Regional State Administration (KRSA) and Kherson City Council.
The purpose of the Round table was the providing of Ecotourism Development in Kherson Region and creation of the favorable conditions for the partnership and cooperation of public, state and commercial sectors in this direction by International Business Department, Tourism and Resorts of Regional State Administration in cooperation with the Company «Google Ukraine» and Kherson Regional Charitable Foundation «Union».
During the Round table activity there were examined the aspects of mending more qualified collaboration of the Protected Areas Administrations with the tourism business representatives and other interested parties as for the realization of tourist-excursion activity on these territories, the opportunities of increasing the tourist stream with the simultaneous providing the ecological balanced management of natural resources, the prospects of collaboration with the Company «Google Ukraine» with the popularization of environmental utilities by means of Internet possibilities.
The scientists of Kherson State University, who take part in the International project "Tempus CruiseT" (the development of Cruise tourism in the Black Sea Region) are confident, that knowledge, received during the Round table, will give them the opportunity to provide digital tools of the Google Company more effectually and qualitatively in the educational process of the Kherson State University and in cultivation of advanced training: «The innovative technologies in tourism».
