KSU delegation consisted of three persons, namely, the Dean of Faculty of Natural Science, Human Health and Tourism, Associate Professor Oksana Lavrykova, Head of the Department of Tourism, Associate Professor Vitalii Yurchenko, Senior Lecturer Natalia Vasylieva.
During the visit, the scientists met with the Deputy Head of the Department of External Economic Activity, Tourism and Resorts, Head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts Serhii Shkarupa.
The key issues were discussed during the meeting as the participation of the Department of Tourism and Resorts in the Coordination Meeting which will be held in September 2015 in Kherson State University as part of the Project "543681-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-DE-TEMPUS-JPHES-CruiseT" on the establishment of a network of competence centers for the development of cruise tourism in the Black Sea region (Georgia and Ukraine). During the meeting, the major thematic direction for further education courses was outlined. These courses are relevant and in demand among professionals from the tourism industry ofKherson region. The thematic areas of student’s research under Summer Schools were determined (Summer School will be conducted in July 2015). Summer Schools are relevant in the context of the tourism industry atKherson region.
The scientists and the Head of the Department have developed a plan of cooperation between KSU and the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Kherson Regional State Administration in 2015.
