20.07.2015 — 23.07.2015. Participant’s Meeting of the international project Tempus IV CruiseT with the coordinators of the EU (Germany)

On July, 21 the participants meeting of the international project "Tempus IV CruiseT" with the coordinators of the EU (Germany) was held at KhersonState University. The moderator of the meeting was the Faculty of Natural Science, Human Health and Tourism. It was supported by the University and by the Department of External Economic Activity, Tourism and Resorts of Kherson Regional State Administration.

The meeting was opened by the Dean of the Natural Science, Human Health and Tourism of KSU, Mrs. Oksana Lavrykova. She pointed out that in the framework of the international project "Tempus IV SruiseT" it is necessary to implement all the plans and objectives, especially the establishment of a regional center to support and develop tourism in the Kherson region. Mrs. Lavrylkova also told the audience about the main directions of practical research of KSU students as part of the project "Summer School". Mrs. Lavrykova added that the KSU students and the Faculty in general would take part in this project for the first time. She pointed out that the next step in the project work would be the project partners meeting in KSU in September. According to the research the conclusions and recommendations to promote and develop the tourism potential of theKherson region should be made.

Hereafter Oksana Lavrykova introduced the invited guests. They were the main coordinator of the project "Tempus IV SruiseT" Nicolaas Schaper, the project manager Vyacheslav Nikitin, the project researchers Wolfgang Fuchs and Helen Bender. Also among the guests were the People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada ofUkraine, First Deputy Chairman of the Science and Education Committee Olexander Spivakovskyi, Director of the Department of External Economic Activity, Tourism and Resorts of Kherson Regional State Administration Serhii Pavlov and his deputy, Head of Tourism and Resorts Office, Serhii Shkarupa.

During the meeting, delegation members had a conversation with the rector of KSU, professor Vasyl Stratonov. The head of the University pointed out that KSU has always been interested in the bilateral international relations and in their expansion. He said that the project "Tempus IV CruiseT" is no exception. The Rector told that such collaboration is not new for the University. The University continues its international relations, but in new forms, new ways, with new countries. The Rector is confident that the work under this project will be implemented by informative directions. Mr. Stratonov said the creativity of our students would allow to get the expected positive result.
