On May 4th a meeting of the Association members "Regional Cruise Tourism Development Competence Center in the Black Sea Region" Cruise Black Sea "was held on the basis of National University "Odessa Maritime Academy". The event was joined by Kherson State University representatives: Vice-Rector for International Relations, Research-Pedagogical Activities and Communication Technologies Oksana Lavrykova, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Human Health and Tourism Natalya Vasylieva, Associate Professors Alexey Makienko, Vitaly Sharko and Assistant of the Tourism Department Alice Karyukhina.
Also, the event was attended by the Vice-Rector of the NU "OMA" Sergei Zaichko, Project Manager "TEMPUS CruiseT" Guido Kaufmann, acting Managing Director of Tourism, Recreation and Resorts of Odessa Regional State Administration Roman Kozlovsky, Deputy Director of the Department, Head of the Tourism Department of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Odessa City Council Elena Dyachenko, General Director, Founder of the Southern Center for the Development of Tourism, Vladimir Kylyvnyk, Association Executive Director Irina Golubkova, Head of the Department of Economic Theory and Entrepreneurship in Maritime Transport Nikolay Prymachov, Senior teachers NU "OMA" Tetiana Lewinska, Maryna Babachenko and Natalya Peresypkina, OU students and other representatives of the various authorities.
The purpose of the working meeting was the discussion of questions of the tourism promotion in the Black Sea Region and attracting investments in the Black Sea Region through the development of economically and scientifically credible business plans for the Tourism Industry.
The Chief Coordinator of the Tempus CruiseT Project from KSU Oksana Lavrykova delivered a report on the implemented and planned activities of the "Regional Tourism Center in Kherson Region". During the meeting, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism of KSU Olexyi Makeienko presented Social and Youth Project of active types tourism development "Traveling in Kherson Region". He pointed out that the initiators of the Project, and the developers were teachers of the Department of Tourism and Kherson Regional Organization of the National Union of Local Historians in Ukraine. One of the main tasks is the evaluation of potential tourist sites, the development and systematization of tourist and excursion routes with active types of movement (pedestrian, bicycle, and water with the use of small boats).
At the end of the event meeting resolution was announced, in which the major decisions of the event were determined and further tasks to promote the development of tourism in the Black Sea region were set.
