Scientific work
As of April 2025, the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports has 8 teachers, including: 2 Doctors of Sciences; 3 Candidates of Sciences, 1 Doctor of Philosophy (3 Associate Professors and 1 Lecturer), 2 without a scientific degree (2 Lecturers).
Research work carried out within the framework of the main working time of teachers at the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports on the topic “Optimization of the educational and training process of athletes of different qualifications” (state registration number 0121U108195) and Theoretical and methodological foundations of teaching swimming to different groups of the population (state registration number 0121U108015)
The staff of the department directs their work to improve the training of future trainers in the sport. It includes: problems of selection of sports-capable children with the help of genetic markers by means of dermatoglyphics and serology, problems of construction and improvement of the educational and training process in various sports, problems of the influence of physical activity on the athlete's body during training sessions, problems of psychological training of athletes, ways to improve the quality of training of qualified coaches. The solutions to these problems are realized in the process of educational activities, training sessions, during various types of practice, and sports competitions. The result of scientific work is the writing of term papers, student research papers and a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy PhD, preparation of reports at scientific conferences of various levels.
