Today, Ukraine, along with most countries in the world, honors the memory of the victims of World War II, the largest and bloodiest armed conflict of the twentieth century.

This is the day when millions of voices silently remind us of the price we had to pay for freedom, dignity, and life.

We remember those who died in battles, in camps, in ghettos; those who survived occupation, deportation, famine, and repression; those who resisted, who saved others, who did not lose their humanity even in inhuman conditions.
Ukraine is once again forced to defend its land, its people, and its values, which is why we realize even more deeply that memory is a weapon against oblivion, that memory is a force that leads to victory.
The slogan “We Remember, We Win” is the slogan of a generation that knows that freedom is not a given, but a heritage that must be cherished and protected.
