Kherson State University Representatives Participate in Erasmus+ project BURN Webinars

A series of Erasmus+ project BURN (Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-) War Ukrainian Nation) webinars recently took place, with Kherson State University (KSU) actively involved in the initiative.

From May 22 to 27, members of KSU’s Department of Psychology, the unit responsible for implementing the project, participated in these educational events.

This initiative aims to promote best practices in providing psychological support to university communities affected by the war. The project brings together partner universities from Estonia, Germany, and Latvia, as well as five Ukrainian universities.

KSU Project Team:

  • Team members: Professor Anzhelika Kolli-Shamne, Associate Professor Nataliia Tavrovetska, Associate Professor Ivan Krupnyk, Lecturer Valentyna Kalenchuk, and PhD student Mariia Pocheketa

All team members completed the full six-webinar series (WP2) as part of the Erasmus+ CBHE project “Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-) War Ukrainian Nation” (101129379 – BURN – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE).

Webinar 1 (April 22, 2024)
Speaker: Anni Leuski (University of Tartu)

  • Shared insights on the development and teaching of the course “Introduction to Crisis Intervention.”

Webinar 2 (April 29, 2024)
Speaker: Anda Apman (University of Latvia)

  • Introduced the history of a bachelor’s degree education program in psychology, detailing syllabus structure and content development.

Webinar 3 (May 7, 2024)
Speakers: Phil Langer & Lars Kuchinke (International Psychoanalytic University in Berlin)

  • Discussed the German higher education system, key principles of psychology education, and syllabus development for specific course components.

Webinar 4 (May 14, 2024)
Speakers: Wiebke Stelling & Kristin Möllers (International Psychoanalytic University in Berlin)

  • Provided an overview of quality management in education and effective tools for course evaluation.
  • Introduced the “uno actu” (single act) concept in education.

Webinar 5 (May 22, 2024)
Speaker: Olha Burdakova (University of Tartu)

  • Presented practical applications of Moodle, focusing on key functionalities for optimizing educational processes.
  • Shared the experience of using the most effective functionality within a separate educational component.

Webinar 6 (May 27, 2024)
Speaker: Iryna Zadorozhna (Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University)

  • Led the final webinar, Experience Exchange: Course Design Principles in the European Union,” sharing experience from the MultiEd (Erasmus+) project.
