On June 24, 2025, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Social Work Shvets T.M. joined the event "Care Reform: Transformation of Social Services in Ukraine", organized by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
In response to the challenges caused by the full-scale war, internal displacement of Ukrainians, economic and demographic changes, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine began the transformation of the social services system. The achievements and future changes in the field were presented at the event "Care Reform: Transformation of Social Services in Ukraine".
During the event, the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovych, together with partners, familiarized the participants with the key changes that are currently being considered for implementation within the framework of the reform of the social services system.
Three key components of the reform were presented during the event:
• How to structure the system? - a three-level service model: 6 areas, 20 service packages;
• How to ensure financing? – sources of financing social services;
• How to carry out procurement? – new mechanisms for the accessibility and continuity of social services.
