On 9 April, an introductory conference on postgraduate practical training was held for second-year postgraduate students. 

On 8 April 2026, programme coordinators, academic supervisors, staff from the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department, and third-level (postgraduate) students took part in a scientific and methodological webinar entitled ‘The Educational Process in Light of the Requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity”’. 

On 7 April, Kherson State University hosted an open lecture by the Rector, Professor Oleksandr Spivakovsky, on the topic ‘Leadership and Charisma: A New Context for Harmony’. The event attracted around 100 participants, including postgraduate students from the university and guests who attended both in person and remotely.

On 1 April, a session was held for students pursuing a third-cycle (research) degree as part of the ‘Digital Adaptation’ programme.

On Wednesday, 1 April, at 3.40 pm, there will be a digital adaptation session for postgraduate students on the topic ‘Navigating academic literature and bibliography’.

On 26 February 2026, an organisational meeting was held with fourth-year postgraduate students, academic supervisors and guarantors of educational and scientific programmes. The event was attended by the university's first vice-rector, Serhii Omelchuk.

The meeting was organized by the Postgraduate and Doctoral Department to coordinate the final stage of preparation for applicants and to ensure proper organizational and regulatory support for the dissertation defense procedure.

During the meeting, participants discussed the algorithm for initiating the creation of a one-time specialised academic council; requirements for the package of documents necessary for submission for defence; compliance with the principles of academic integrity and requirements for thesis verification; features of the formation of the council and requirements for official opponents; deadlines for submitting documents and key stages of the defence procedure.

On 7 November 2025, a solemn meeting of first-year students was held at the Ivano-Frankivsk office of KhDU.

The rector of the university, Professor Oleksandr Spivakovsky, addressed the applicants with a welcoming speech, emphasising that scientific research should be unique and meaningful. The rector of KhDU also presented the first-year students with their postgraduate certificates.

On October 28, Maria Andreeva, a fourth-year graduate student in Philology, successfully defended her dissertation "Cognitive and Narratological Properties of English-Language Fiction for Children (Based on Contemporary Fiction Narratives of Great Britain)" for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 035 Philology. Scientific supervisor – Tsapiv Alla Oleksiivna, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of English Philology and World Literature named after Professor Oleg Mishukov. A meeting of first-year postgraduate students regarding voting for elective educational components of the general training cycle was held on April 18. Applicants were informed about the voting deadlines and were also instructed on the voting procedure for elective components on the KSU24 information platform.

On April 9, a final conference on postgraduate practice for 2nd year students of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education was held. The event was opened by the first vice-rector of KhSU, Professor Serhiy Omelchuk, who congratulated the postgraduate students on the successful completion of their practice and wished all those present a fruitful discussion of the results and outlining ways to further improve postgraduate practice.

Their reports were presented by Oleksiy Ivanov (educational and scientific program "Software Engineering", scientific supervisor - Professor Vitaliy Kobets), Tetyana Bybyk (educational and scientific program "Educational and Pedagogical Sciences", scientific supervisor - Professor Yevheniya Spivakovska), Oleksandr Boguslavsky (educational and scientific program "Jurisprudence", scientific supervisor - Associate Professor Nadiya Shevchenko, Oleksiy Zakharov (educational and scientific program "Geography", scientific supervisor - Professor Daria Malchykova). The speakers' speeches included interesting suggestions and words of gratitude for the organization of the practice by scientific supervisors, guarantors of the ONP, heads of departments, the department of postgraduate and doctoral studies.

A positive analysis of cooperation with applicants during postgraduate practice was presented in the speeches of the guarantor of the ONP "Jurisprudence", Professor Vasyl Stratonov; Head of the Department of National, International Law and Law Enforcement, Associate Professor Alina Gavlovskaya.

February 28, 2025 an orientation conference on post-graduate practice for students of the second year of study was held. During the meeting, such issues as the purpose and content of the practice, terms of its implementation, preparation of reporting documentation, etc., were discussed.

On February 26, 2025, a meeting of post-graduate students of 2-4 years of study was held in a remote format. At the meeting, topical issues of preparation for the spring certification of applicants by departments and academic councils of faculties were discussed, as well as the procedure of certification by a one-time specialized academic council based on the public defense of the dissertation.

On February 19, a mixed-format scientific-methodological seminar for postgraduate students of the first year of study was held in the Ivano-Frankivsk office of the KhSU. The event was attended by Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, rector of KhSU, who emphasized that the priority of the university is quality evidence-based education and expressed hope that scientific research of first-year graduate students will be a worthy contribution to the development of Ukrainian science.

During the event, the results of the implementation of the educational and scientific component of the graduate student's individual plan for October 2024 - February 2025, the specifics of the selection of selective components, the preparation of applicants for the spring certification by the departments and academic councils of the faculties, and other important issues were also discussed.
