Knowledge that heals. Initiative that inspires. Care that matters.

Third-year medical students, Olha Stepanova and Anna Savelieva, held a warm, meaningful, and incredibly insightful meeting with schoolchildren focused on staying healthy during the cold season.

As part of the educational event "Winter Without Illness," these future healthcare professionals did more than just share expert knowledge. In an accessible and interactive format, they discussed the prevention of seasonal diseases, boosting the immune system, and the vital importance of a healthy lifestyle. Engaging communication, practical advice, and sincere dialogue made the meeting truly beneficial and inspiring.

For their active involvement in educational outreach, their responsible commitment to youth health, and for organizing this topical session, the students were honored with certificates of appreciation from the Commission on Ecology and Healthy Lifestyle and the "Dyvosvit" Club of the City Student Parliament.

We are proud of our students, who are already confidently bridging the gap between their studies and real-world impact, shaping a healthy and conscious future.

From the Fight for Rights to Modern Breakthroughs: Highlights of the "Women in Medicine" Meeting

Today, we didn’t just hold a thematic meeting—we went on a true journey through time! Our online event brought together school students and a future rehabilitation specialist to discuss the vital role of women in healthcare.

Our keynote speaker was Anna Stadnyk, a student majoring in "Therapy and Rehabilitation" at Kherson State University. She masterfully bridged the gap between the past and the present:

    • A Historical Journey: Anna shared inspiring stories of how women fought for their right to study at universities and practice medicine. From the first struggles to final recognition, it was a difficult path, but it opened doors for every one of us today.

    • Modern Rehabilitation: Participants learned how today’s female professionals are transforming patient recovery approaches and what innovations are being implemented at the Faculty of Medicine.

    • Advice for Applicants: What to focus on during admission and how to find your calling in a field where science and empathy meet.

The students actively joined the discussion, proving that the history of medicine is a story about the courage to be first.

Check out the screenshots from our meeting! A huge thank you to Anna for the deep dive into the topic and to all our listeners for your questions. You are the future of our healthcare, and we believe you will write your own glorious chapters in its history.

Our student is among the "Hear the Doctor" health ambassadors!

We have wonderful news! Anzhelika Kryvenko, a first-year student majoring in "Therapy and Rehabilitation" (I7), has joined the all-Ukrainian initiative "Hear the Doctor" (Pochuy Likarya) and participated in the health ambassadors program.

Since this summer, a network of young ambassadors has been actively developing in Ukraine. They work with youth and local communities to spread knowledge about disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, mental health, vaccination, and cancer prevention. In just a few months, the program participants have already held meetings with over 1,500 young people across 9 regions of Ukraine.

Participation in this initiative provides valuable experience in communication, leadership, and community outreach, as well as an opportunity to make a real contribution to public health.

We sincerely thank Kherson State University for supporting student initiatives, fostering active youth, and creating opportunities for our students' professional and personal growth.

We are proud of Anzhelika and wish her continued success in her studies and community activities!

    Dear University Community!

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we bow our heads in memory of the millions of innocent people destroyed by hatred, discrimination, and inhuman ideology. The Holocaust serves as a tragic reminder of what happens when human life is devalued and the world remains silent in the face of evil.

Today, these lessons of history resonate with particular pain and relevance, as Ukraine once again endures war, genocidal practices, and mass crimes against the civilian population. We see how hatred and violence are again attempting to destroy people's right to life, freedom, and dignity.

While remembering the victims of the Holocaust, we simultaneously honor the memory of all those killed in the war against Ukraine and express our solidarity with those who today fight, heal, rescue, and protect life. It is our duty to remember, to speak the truth, and to never allow the tragedies of the past to be repeated in the present.

We remember. We unite. We stand against evil.

After all, medicine is not only about science; it is about humanity, cooperation, and support.

Artemii Fursenko, a lecturer at our faculty, joined a multidisciplinary team (including a physical therapist, massage therapist, nurse, and psychologists) traveling to the front-line areas of Donbas to provide rehabilitation assistance to our defenders.

In just two days, the team supported 72 soldiers by performing rehabilitation procedures, massage therapy, psychological counseling, and conducting pain assessments. The invitation came from the brigade's patronage service, which provides logistical support along with daily care for the mental and physical health of its troops.

We met people who can truly be called titans — those who hold the front line and our safety every single day. We also experienced authentic soldiers' cuisine — delicious and heartfelt. Further cooperation has been agreed upon. We are doing what we do best, exactly where it is needed most.
