Today, May 6, students of the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Journalism and local media met with Ukrainian politician, scientist, public figure, People's Deputy of the VIII convocation, Commissioner for State Language Protection Taras Kremen in the Transformer Hall of the Scientific Library of Kherson State University.
Kherson State University has a strong base of well-known scholars who have contributed to the development, promotion and support of the Ukrainian language. "It is quite natural that we are ready to become a platform where the initiatives of the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language will be picked up," said KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
Kherson region should become the first southern region to approve a regional program for the development and mastery of the Ukrainian language. And without the scientific and methodological, resource potential of Kherson State University with a powerful faculty of Ukrainian and foreign philology and journalism will be impossible to cope.
