ХДУ розпочав активну співпрацю із Cormack Consultancy Group в межах ініціативи «Єднання»

Kherson State University has joined the Twinning Initiative, which was created by the British consulting company Cormack Consultancy Group in the field of higher education with the support of the organization "Universities of Great Britain".

As part of the project, The University of Kent (Great Britain) became a partner of Kherson State University. Institutions have tangential educational programs and provide education for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The first meeting of representatives of the two universities took place in early May and was led by the Project Director of Cormack Consultancy Group Angela Stashchak.

Representatives from Kherson State University were the First Vice–Rector Serhii Omelchuk, Vice–Rector for International, Social and Humanitarian Issues, Research and Education AllaTsapiv, and Acting Head of the International Initiatives and Project Management Department YevheniiaRevenko. At the meeting universities presented their educational institutions and outlined the vectors of further cooperation. 

According to AllaTsapiv, Vice-Rector for International, Social and Humanitarian Issues, Research and Education, cooperation in the fields of material and technical support, science, education and culture are priority areas of work.

The Vice-Rector also stressed that The University of Kent is a powerful educational institution and provides educational services in many specialties. And such cooperation opens up new prospects for Kherson State University. In addition, now Kherson institutions of higher education, more than ever, need support and assistance.

To date, 4 joint meetings have already been held between the universities, where they discussed:

- possibility to invite guest lecturers from The University of Kent to give a separate lecture or a series of lectures for educational programs;

- English language courses for university students, teachers and staff;

- prospects of the double degree program;

- ability to support the material and technical base of the university.

It should be noted that the Twinning Initiative is aimed at establishing partnership relations between universities of Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States and the EU. The goal is to personalize relations between partner universities, find optimal ways to support specific Ukrainian universities, and create long-term strategic alliances of universities. The initiative allows to provide long-term support to the higher education system of Ukraine, preserve its authenticity, restore it, and prevent "brain drain".
