KSU Is Participating in a Major Project on the Creation of a Digital University
On October 11, representatives of Kherson State University took part in a press conference to present the project "Digital University - Open Ukrainian Initiative" (DigiUni) of the Erasmus+ program.
The DigiUni project, which won a call, was first opened to the European Commission of Ukraine within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Program. It was presented in the main building of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The result of the four-year project is to become a digital platform that systematizes all digital content of partnering universities, ensuring continuous, high-quality, transparent, inclusive education. The budget of this project is 5 million euros, from which KSU is given 350 thousand euros.
According to Alla Tsapiv, the Vice-Rector for International, Social and Humanitarian, Research and Education Affairs at KSU, this is the largest structural project possible under the Erasmus+ format. The coordinator is Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Participants include Ukrainian higher education institutions, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ukrainian IT Association, and higher education institutions from Germany, France, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Poland.
"This was not our first meeting. During our first meeting, the leaders presented their teams, and recently, a major official press conference was held to present the 'Digital University' project. The overall goal is to create a unified large digital platform, where digital content from Ukrainian universities will be uploaded, and we will be able to use existing digital content, platforms, and opportunities from European partners. In other words, this is the format of an open university," emphasized Alla Tsapiv.
From KSU, the event was attended by Vice-Rectors Alla Tsapiv, Maksym Vinnyk, Oleksandr Lemeshchuk, and the Head of the International Initiatives and Project Management Department, Yevheniia Revenko.
