Lydia Lymarenko, professor of the Department of Cultural Studies, took part in the discussion panel of the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference

Well-known scientists, experienced practitioners in the field of cultural studies, cultural and artistic figures from different regions of Ukraine, the USA, Poland, and Germany joined the discussion panel. The participants of the scientific forum noted the exceptional role of culture in many spheres of modern life, in particular, in the processes of formation of a modern and highly spiritual Ukrainian nation. Particular importance was attached to the problems of: national identity of Ukrainians in conditions of forced migration; modifications of the national language, literature, theater; transformation of Ukrainian content in the global media space; modern development of cultural science.

Lydia Lymarenko presented the report "Truth that explodes the media vacuum" at the discretion of the conference participants, where she highlighted the issue of media as the most popular form of intercultural communication between people, which stimulates the increase and expansion of information boundaries. The professor also presented the cultural and artistic project "Zone of media silence", created during the mastery of the educational components of the certificate program "Organization and direction of cultural and artistic projects" by master's students of the specialty of Culture Tetyana Ilyina and Sofia Borshchagovska. The result of the scientific and creative work of the team was highly appreciated by: a theater actress from Poland (Martina Chodovska); a playwright who teaches at a US university (Andrei Kureichik); Ukrainian director and producer, laureate of the Ivan Kotlyarevsky Prize (Mykhailo Zhuravel); director of the VP "Mykolaiv branch of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, organizer of the conference, professor (Victor Mozgovy).

The words of thanks expressed once again confirmed our belief that the graduates of the Faculty of Culture and Arts of Kherson State University, as future professional workers in the humanitarian and cultural sphere with a high level of spirituality, concern for their homeland, with defined priorities of culture and its values, will be able, after the end of the war, to effectively interact, restore and create a new cultural infrastructure, build and adjust the cultural policy not only of the Southern region, but also of our country in general, understanding the importance of culture for the development of Ukrainian society.
