The Dean and Associate Professors of the Faculty of Psychology, History and Sociology started "Study Tours to Poland" "SUPPORTING THE IMPROVEMENT AND / OR OPENING OF NEW AREAS OF TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES IN DISPLACED UNIVERSITIES" (March 17-23, 2024, Warsaw)
Iryna Shaposhnykova, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, History and Sociology, and Tetiana Shvets and Tetiana Cherkashyna, Associate Professors of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Social Work, began a study visit to Poland as part of the Study Tours to Poland program as part of a delegation of representatives of Ukrainian higher education institutions evacuated from the war zone. This meeting was made possible at the initiative of the Foundation of Polish Rectors in cooperation with the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, the Leaders of Change Foundation, and with the support of the Fulbright Program Offices in Ukraine and Poland.The purpose of the visit is to support displaced Ukrainian universities in developing content and preparing new educational programs at the master's level and short-term study (postgraduate education, certificate programs) in areas related to the current challenges of Ukrainian society during the war: social psychology, military psychology, psychological rehabilitation and resocialization of veterans, military social work with military personnel and their families, social policy, municipal policy, and gender studies.The visit will include meetings and training at Warsaw universities (including SWPS University, M. Grzegorzewska Academy of Special Education, and others), as well as meetings with representatives of institutions involved in Polish-Ukrainian cooperation. The program will last for a week and will be full of meetings and discussions in various formats.
