On May 13, 2024, on the basis of the State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine named after V.O. Sukhomlyn National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine hosted the IX All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference on the history of education with international participation "Pedagogical biography on national-patriotic education of children and youth: ideas, concepts, practices", which was co-organized by the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Educational Management named after Prof. E. Petukhova of Kherson State University.
The conference was attended by: Vasyl Hryhorovych Kremen, doctor of philosophy, professor, active member (academician) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, president of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine; Sysoeva Svitlana Oleksandrivna, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor, active member (academician) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician-secretary of the Department of Philosophy of Education, General and Preschool Pedagogy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Natalia Dicek, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, head of the Department of History and Philosophy of Education of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Popyk Volodymyr Ivanovych, doctor of historical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, director of the Institute of Biographical Research of the National Library of Ukraine named after V. I. Vernadskyi; Mikhno Oleksandr Petrovych, doctor of pedagogical sciences, senior researcher, chief researcher of the Department of Pedagogical Source Studies and Biography of the V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine; Zhurba Kateryna Oleksandrivna, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Laboratory of National Patriotic Education of the Institute of Educational Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as leading scientists in the field of the history of pedagogy of higher education institutions of Ukraine, doctoral students, post-graduate students.
At the conference, the issue of national-patriotic education in Ukraine based on historicism and innovation was discussed at a high scientific level.
At the conference, a resolution was adopted, in which the ways of using the heritage of scientists-pedagogues, public figures and educators in the national-patriotic education of children and youth in today's conditions are determined!
