### A Student from Kherson State University Shared Her Impressions of the Academic Mobility Program at the University of Kent

From June 5th to 12th, Anna had the unique opportunity to immerse herself in British student life, attend seminars on current topics, and enjoy the beauty of London. In an interview with our publication, she shared her impressions of the trip, discussed the challenges and joys of preparation, and offered advice to students who dream of similar experiences.

**Journalist**: Anna, please tell us about your participation in the academic mobility program at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom. How did you learn about this program?

**Anna Likanova**: One evening, I was checking messages in our faculty group and came across information about the mobility program in cooperation between Kherson State University and the University of Kent. The application deadline was the next day, and initially, I wanted to ignore this opportunity as I thought my chances of being selected were slim. However, I decided to give it a try and wrote to our lecturer, Anna Volodymyrivna Chmut, to find out how to quickly and correctly submit the application. She helped me promptly with the documents, and we managed to submit the application that same day.

**Journalist**: How did the selection process go?

**Anna Likanova**: Alla Oleksiivna Tsapiv organized an interview for all participants, during which five candidates out of ten had to be chosen. After a few days of anxiety, I found out that I was among the winners. It was an incredible feeling of joy!

**Journalist**: How did you prepare for the trip?

**Anna Likanova**: After the selection, we needed to quickly process the documents, especially the visa. The visa center was far from me, in Munich, and the application deadline was tight. There were moments of anxiety and even tears, but the visa decision was made quickly, and I realized it was my destiny to go. This was my first flight on an airplane, and I was very nervous, but everything went well.

**Journalist**: How was your week in the United Kingdom?

**Anna Likanova**: It was a busy week. We lived in a small student town, enjoyed active student life, constantly communicated in English, and attended seminars on current topics, such as cultural and emotional intelligence, leadership, and management. A one-day trip to London particularly stood out. It was my childhood dream, and I couldn’t believe I was finally seeing Big Ben with my own eyes.

**Journalist**: What impressed you the most about this trip?

**Anna Likanova**: Everything impressed me: professionalism in every task, active student life, English everywhere, and the beauty of London. But most importantly, it was the feeling that I was in the right place, where I was understood. We felt like part of something big and significant, something we once dreamed of but could never imagine.

**Journalist**: What advice would you give to students who want to participate in similar programs?

**Anna Likanova**: Dream and strive towards your goals, despite your fears. Fear can only hold you back from taking action. Use every opportunity to the fullest, so you don't regret lost time later.

I sincerely thank the team at Kherson State University for this unique opportunity and experience.
