Recently, Kherson State University has seen many positive changes. This was also noted by Andrea Motais, an associate professor at the Fröbel Seminar (Kassel, Germany), who participated in the scientific-practical seminar "Integration of Modern Educational Systems of Europe and the World in the Context of Implementing F. Fröbel's Pedagogical Ideas."
Andrea had not visited Ukraine for about six years and today she saw new classrooms equipped with modern technology, an almost completed swimming pool, and a renovated, cozy park. A pleasant surprise for her was the commemorative "Fröbel Pyramid" monument.
Andrea Motais visited Kherson's preschool education institutions together with the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor L.Ye. Petukhova, who is also the head of the public organization "Fröbel Society," and Associate Professor of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education Pedagogy, Coordinator of the F. Fröbel Educational Center, O.E. Anisimova.
At the kindergarten No. 10 (of a sanatorium type), various activities in inclusive groups were presented, while at the kindergarten No. 33 named after F. Fröbel, the implementation of Fröbel’s methodologies was demonstrated. Educators at kindergarten No. 20 presented Ukrainian educational methods, and at kindergarten No. 76, the guests observed the convenient and practical design of the grounds.
The experience of the Faculty of Education, the F. Fröbel Educational Center, and the preschool institutions proved to be very interesting for the guest from Germany. Ms. Motais left with many positive impressions. The partnership between the Fröbel Seminar in Kassel and the Faculty of Education at Kherson State University is valuable and beneficial for both sides. We look forward to continued successful cooperation!
