Tetiana Honcharenko, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics, and Ihor Holovchenko, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, are currently in Germany at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and the Innovation in Learning Institute (ILI-FAU) in Fürth.

KSU representatives will attend a series of training workshops under the project of the EU Erasmus+ international program “Digital University - Open Ukrainian Initiative” – DigiUni.

On October 7, the sixth training workshop, “Digital Teaching in Higher Education: Pioneering Future-Oriented Learning through Innovative Formats, Tools, and Systems, and Systems,” started.

The participants got acquainted with the philosophy and organization of the Innovation in Learning Institute (ILI-FAU) and learned about the digital infrastructure. The second day focused on inter-university cooperation in the field of digital learning in Bavaria. This project brought together 36 Bavarian universities.

During the workshop, KSU deans and other participants learned about different approaches to increasing student engagement with digital tools and learned about TransACTION! - a project on media and instructional design for European higher education, explored its structure for co-development and a guide for creating high-quality educational multimedia, a hub for open educational resources (OER) media resources, and an open online course on multimedia and online learning design.

A presentation of the central platform for learning and assessment (StudOn) used by FAU was held.

The research on approaches to active learning, interactive teaching strategies, and examples of AI use in higher education is ahead.
