**On October 29, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed draft law No. 12053, changing the procedures for the State Final Certification (SFC) and admissions process for 2025 graduates. The main update is that this year's graduates are exempt from the mandatory SFC, allowing them to fully concentrate on preparing for university entrance exams.**

- **Cancellation of the SFC**: Graduates of 2025 will not be required to take the State Final Certification, giving them more time to focus on entrance exams.

- **National Multi-Subject Test (NMST)**: As in the previous year, admissions will involve the NMST in a computerized format. This test will include three mandatory subjects—Ukrainian language, mathematics, and the history of Ukraine—and one optional subject from a list that includes Ukrainian literature, foreign languages, biology, chemistry, physics, and geography.

- **Expanded history of Ukraine test**: The history section now covers the entire school curriculum, requiring graduates to have a more thorough knowledge base.
