Development, piloting and implementation of educational courses according to European standards

Within the framework of the implementation of the EU program Erasmus+, the area “Development of Higher Education Potential” project: “Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-) War Ukrainian Nation” (101129379 – BURN – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE), the Department of Psychology of Kherson State University coordinates and is responsible for updating educational and educational-scientific programs and curricula in the specialty 053 Psychology according to the project work packages.

In 2024, the project participants updated the educational programs of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) courses of higher education. All OPs have been examined and approved by the rector's order. Preparations are underway for changes and updating the educational and scientific program of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education, which requires changes to all specialties presented in the postgraduate and doctoral departments of KhSU.
The development, piloting and implementation of educational courses are taking place at:
- the first (bachelor's) level of higher education for OP "Psychology" The name of the course is "Crisis Online Counseling", with a volume of 3 credits. The language of instruction is Ukrainian. The project teacher Ruslana Bilous is responsible for the development;
- the second (master's) level of higher education for OP "Psychology". The name of the course is "Mindfulness-oriented art therapy of trauma", with a volume of 3 credits. Language of instruction – English. Responsible for the development – project lecturer Valentyna Kalenchuk;
- the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education for all PhD candidates. Title of the course “Working with refugees and war survivors”, with a volume of 0.5 credits. Language of instruction – English. Responsible for the development – project lecturer Angelica Colli-Shamnet;
Coordination meetings of all partner universities of the project are held weekly, webinars on the development of syllabuses, formulation of tasks and program outcomes of educational components, discussion of course topics. Project lecturers have an algorithm of tasks for developing the content of the syllabus and its compliance with European requirements.
