Anna Likanova is a shining example of how willpower, perseverance, and love of learning can help overcome any obstacles. While studying for her bachelor's degree, Anna simultaneously majored in two specialties: “Management and English-German Philology. Despite the huge academic load, she achieved high results and became an excellent student, demonstrating organization and a commitment to excellence.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, Anna was forced to leave for Germany. However, even this did not hinder her desire for education. She successfully passed the USE and the ESE abroad and entered a master's program. At the same time, thanks to her perseverance, Anna became an exchange student at the University of Kassel, where she continues to pursue her business education.

This year, Anna made another significant step in her professional growth by being selected as a student exchange student at the University of Kent in the UK, which you can read about here.

Studying abroad has its own peculiarities that differ from the approaches we are used to. For example, students are provided with a list of subjects for the semester, and everyone chooses the ones they want to study. They have a whole month to decide whether to continue the course.
There are subjects that are taught only in the format of lectures, and their attendance is optional, but you can take the exam. Seminars, on the other hand, are compulsory, because participation and completion of assignments during the semester affect the final result.
There is a written exam at the end of each course, and presentations and group work throughout the semester. Study materials are provided in advance, and the student works through them independently to discuss key aspects during classes.
Studying in a foreign language is particularly challenging, as many business terms require additional learning. However, it is a great experience that allows you not only to gain knowledge but also to deepen your language skills.” The most valuable aspect of studying abroad for me was the intercultural experience. Universities bring together students from different countries, which creates a unique atmosphere of mutual exchange of ideas and approaches to learning. During group projects, I worked with people from different cultural backgrounds. Such cooperation teaches flexibility, tolerance, and effective communication skills, which are extremely important for my future career.
In the long run, I am considering starting my own business, but at the moment it is just an idea that needs further development and preparation.
