A Representative of Kherson State University Participated in the Basel Peace Forum
On January 23, the 9th Basel Peace Forum was held in Basel, Switzerland, focusing on the theme "Rethinking Peace – Innovations for the Future."
The event brought together over 500 participants from diverse fields, including education, art, science, politics, and civil society from around the world. Among the attendees was Anastasiia Volianiuk, a lecturer at the Pedagogical Faculty of Kherson State University.
The forum took place in a dynamic hybrid format, featuring panel discussions, debates, and creative workshops.
"This is my second time participating in the Forum, and I am once again impressed by the diversity of topics. This year's event was accompanied for the first time by the unique project ‘Visualizing Peace,’ which offered a rethinking of peace imagery through creative initiatives. Forum participants discussed how stereotypical perceptions of peace influence our understanding of peace and conflict and developed new concepts for its representation," said Anastasiia Volianiuk.
