Erasmus+ Representatives Visited the Ivano-Frankivsk Office of Kherson State University

On April 2, the office of Kherson State University in Ivano-Frankivsk was visited by distinguished guests - Luis Alves, Head of Erasmus+ National Agency in Portugal, Svitlana Shytikova, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine, and Kateryna Zhdanova, Leading Manager of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine.

Rector of KSU Oleksandr Spivakovskyi told how the university lives and works, introduced the history of the university through the gallery of rectors who have headed our institution since its foundation.

Vice-Rector Veronika Denysenko introduced the university's international and humanitarian activities, while Vice-Rector Oleksandr Lemeshchuk highlighted the development of digital infrastructure. The guests also visited the HR department and the university archive, which stores documents that were preserved and evacuated from Kherson.

Vice-Rector Veronika Denysenko, Head of the Department of International Initiatives and Project Management Yevheniia Revenko, department staff members Alina Hlushko and Dariia Kuznietsova, along with Head of the Humanitarian Department Anna Suprun, took part in the Erasmus+ EU Programme Information Day titled “Building Connections Between Ukraine and Portugal,” hosted at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

During the event, Luís Alves shared Portugal’s experience in youth mobility, the specifics of implementing education projects, and opportunities available for Ukrainian youth organizations within Erasmus+. He emphasized that cooperation between Ivano-Frankivsk and Braga could serve as a model for effective international partnership.

The event also included the following presentations:

  • An overview of 40 current Erasmus+ Programme calls for Ukrainian participants.
  • Discussions on collaboration opportunities, partnerships, and communication of project ideas between Ukraine and Portugal.
  • Presentations of European platforms and professional networks in the field of education and youth work.

The event concluded with a lively discussion, where participants exchanged opinions, shared ideas for future initiatives, and explored prospects for developing joint projects.

“International activity is one of the university’s top priorities, which is why we are open to new opportunities and partnerships,” emphasized Oleksandr Spivakovskiy.
