We congratulate our colleagues - Professor Ivan Moisienko and his PhD student Nadia Skobel - on the unique achievement of publishing the article "Global impoverishment of natural vegetation revealed by dark diversity" in the journal Nature, which is one of the most prestigious scientific publications in the world!

The journal Nature (Great Britain, Springer Nature), founded in 1869, is one of the most influential international peer-reviewed publications. Nature accepts for publication only a small percentage of manuscripts (less than 10%), and only those that have world scientific novelty, interdisciplinary impact and significance for a global audience. This means that the article, co-authored by Professor Ivan Moisienko and Nadia Skobel, has undergone a complex multi-stage peer-review process and has received recognition from the international scientific community.

We congratulate the entire creative team of scientists, which, in addition to the Kherson residents, includes Dmytro Yakushenko (F.E. Falz-Fein Biosphere Reserve "Askania-Nova") and Alla Tokaryuk (Yu. Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University).

This is a significant event for KhSU and confirmation that our science, in particular the scientists of Kherson State University, are able to compete with dignity at the global level, even despite the war and difficult conditions.

Good luck and inspiration, Ivan Ivanovich and Mrs. Nadia!
