Digital Infrastructure of KSU Presented at the University of Klagenfurt
The official visit of the Kherson State University (KSU) delegation to Alpen-Adria University (AAU) in Klagenfurt, Austria, is ongoing. Several important meetings have already taken place.
The delegation includes Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskiy Vice-Rector for International, Social and Humanitarian, Research and Education Affairs Veronika Denysenko, Dean of Pedagogical Faculty Liubov Petukhova, and Head of the International Initiatives and Project Management Department Yevheniia Revenko.
Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskiy shared the details of the visit:
“We had a meeting with Professor Doris Hattenberger, Vice-Rector for Education and Diversity, during which we discussed prospects for future cooperation. We presented a short video about our university, highlighting three key periods in KSU’s recent history: operations before the full-scale invasion, the challenges during the temporary occupation of Kherson, and our current work during the relocation to Ivano-Frankivsk. We also shared how we manage administrative, financial, and academic processes.”
During the second meeting at the Center for University Learning and Teaching (CULT), Yevheniia Revenko, Head of the International Initiatives and Project Management Department, presented the work of our KSU24 platform – a modern digital environment designed for students, faculty, and university administration.
The platform was created to manage educational and business processes, ensure continuous quality control of education, and enable effective interaction among all participants in the educational process.
“There was interest in specific modules; some aspects our partners are ready to adopt. This became the basis for a productive discussion, beneficial for both universities. After all, exchanging ideas and experiences is an integral part of development and improvement,” commented Rector Spivakovskiy. As part of the second meeting, KSU representatives visited a video content laboratory. Incidentally, a similar lab was recently launched at KSU. This gave our team the opportunity to adopt some of the partners’ experience and integrate it into our work within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ DigiUni international project“

In addition, a meeting was held with Professors Heinrich C. Mayr and Tilmann Reuther at the University of Klagenfurt, where they discussed the possibility of hosting KSU’s digital infrastructure on the Austrian university’s servers.
“We aim to expand our cooperation in the IT field, so that KSU can have another powerful platform for conducting research, developing software products, and storing digital infrastructure. This is a great prospect that can help us grow and create better conditions for our researchers and students,” noted Spivakovskiy.
