On April 8, 2025, a seminar was held with editors-in-chief and members of the editorial boards of category "A" and "B" scholarly journals of Kherson State University. Assistants to the deans for research were also invited to the seminar.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing the draft order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine *"On Amendments to the Procedure for Forming the List of Scholarly Journals,"* approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated January 15, 2018, No. 32.
First Vice-Rector Serhii Omelchuk presented a detailed analysis of the draft order, focusing on the proposed changes affecting the operations of editorial boards of scholarly journals, including updated requirements for editorial boards, publication policies, and evaluation criteria.
Participants discussed the need for journals to update their websites with clear information on various policies, implement new manuscript submission and review processes, and improve overall quality. Strategies for implementing these changes were also considered.
