On April 10, 2025, the 6th Basel Education & Career Exhibition took place in Basel (Switzerland) - a large-scale international educational event that brought together universities, educational institutions, research centers, and career platforms from different European countries.
Kherson State University Pedagogical Faculty lecturers Anastasiia Volianiuk and Yevhenia Morozova became participants in this important international event.
During the event, KhSU representatives got acquainted with modern educational initiatives, talked with specialists from universities, educational organizations and international institutions. Particular attention was paid to communication with representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) https://www.iom.int/, with whom they discussed the issues of migration as a result of the war in Ukraine, ways to support refugees, as well as detailed information about the resources available on the organization's official website. In particular, they discussed the use of analytical tools and databases on migration processes, population movement statistics, as well as tips on effectively searching for the necessary information in the open access for scientific and educational purposes.
The exhibition was organized by the Institute for Peace and Dialogue (IPD), an international organization headquartered in Switzerland that specializes in promoting intercultural dialogue, peacebuilding initiatives, the development of education and professional partnerships. For many years, IPD has been organizing prestigious international events that combine science, practice and international cooperation.
Among the exhibitors at the exhibition were such well-known institutions and educational initiatives as Bath Spa University (Great Britain), Amsterdam Fashion Academy (Netherlands), Semmelweis University (Hungary), University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iuliu Hațieganu Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Education Malta (Malta), Albert School (France), Mines Paris – PSL University (France), Machiavelli Centro di Lingua e Cultura Italiana per Stranieri (Italy), GEDU Global Education, as well as a number of other influential organizations that shape the modern European educational space.
BaselEduCa Expo has become not only a space for information exchange, but also a platform for establishing new professional contacts, discussing important educational issues, developing academic partnerships, and integrating Ukrainian higher education institutions into the European academic space.
