Touch history

First-year students of Kherson State University had a unique opportunity to delve into the depths of the history of Ukraine and Ukrainian culture during a seminar. Professor of the department Oleksandr Cheremisin conducted it on the basis of the archaeological exposition of the KhSU History Museum in Ivano-Frankivsk. Today, students Senyuk Lyudmila and Kornienko Olesya joined the seminar in person.
For the first time in recent years, real artifacts from the archaeological exposition of the KhSU History Museum were used in the educational process, which the students were able to explore on their own. This approach not only enriches knowledge, but also opens a living connection with the past of our region.

In these difficult times for the country, it is extremely important to preserve and study the cultural heritage of the Kherson region as an integral part of Ukrainian identity. Such initiatives form deep respect for their roots in young people and cultivate true patriotism.
First-year students had the opportunity to document finds, make descriptions, take photographs, and try to recreate the life and technologies of the ancient era in the history of the Kherson region. At the same time, they developed interdisciplinarity, teamwork, analytical skills, and integrated theoretical knowledge into practice.
