KSU Discusses Progress of the DigiUni International Program Project
During the April meeting of the Academic Council of Kherson State University, attendees received updates on the progress of the international EU Erasmus+ program project "Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative (DigiUni)."
Speakers included Oleksandr Lemeshchuk, for Digitization, Innovations, Investments, Research and Education, and Alla Tsapiv, Assistant to the Rector for Internationalization.
Speaking to the members of the Academic Council, Alla Tsapiv emphasized that the DigiUni project is aimed at supporting higher education in Ukraine during martial law and throughout post-war recovery. It is the largest project under the Erasmus+ program ever implemented in Ukraine. It has brought together participants from Ukraine and EU member states, with 21 institutions as full partners and 5 institutions as associated partners.
The project began on December 1, 2023, and is scheduled to last for four years. The coordinator is Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. At Kherson State University, the project is coordinated by Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskiy.
Regarding specific tasks of KSU, Alla Tsapiv outlined the following:
Vice-Rector Oleksandr Lemeshchuk noted that the key tasks currently being undertaken by Kherson State University include the formation of a working group for cooperation and the development of the DigiUni platform, as well as exploring opportunities for integration between KSU’s internal platform, KSU-online, and the DIGIUNI platform. Another important task is configuring system interaction protocols.
After hearing the speakers’ reports, the members of the Academic Council endorsed the resolution: the state of project implementation is in line with the planned schedule and is considered satisfactory.
