On May 22, 2025, the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics at Kherson State University hosted a public lecture titled “Stages in the Development of Digitalization at Kherson State University.”
The speaker was Hennadii Mykhailovych Kravtsov, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
During the lecture, Dr. Kravtsov presented the key stages of integrating digital technologies into the educational, scientific, and administrative activities of the university over the past 30 years. The presentation addressed both the historical evolution of digitalization and the modern challenges and future directions.
The lecturer emphasized the role of digital tools in improving accessibility and the quality of education, the creation of electronic educational resources, the automation of management processes, and the integration of KSU into the international academic environment. Special attention was given to how global challenges—such as the pandemic and the ongoing war—have underscored the need to adapt the educational process to new realities.
A heartfelt part of the lecture featured reflections on the early days of the university's computerization and recognition of the faculty members who laid the foundations for this transformation, including the current university leadership.
The event sparked considerable interest among students and faculty alike, serving as another step in fostering a digital mindset within the KSU academic community.
