On Monday, May 26, 2025, a general meeting for IT students from the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Physics, and Mathematics at Kherson State University (KSU) was held. The meeting focused on their participation in an innovative competency testing program as part of the EU Erasmus+ grant program.
About the Smart-PL Project
Kherson State University is an active participant in the international Smart-PL project, implemented by a consortium of six Ukrainian universities. The project aims to strengthen cooperation between European and Ukrainian higher education institutions and develop students' professional competencies in accordance with European ESCO standards.
Students have a unique opportunity to undergo comprehensive testing across 16 key competencies in data analysis (profession code 2511.3 - data analyst), including:
Ability to analyze big data
Ability to apply statistical analysis methods
Ability to collect and integrate ICT data
Ability to define data quality criteria
Ability to perform data cleaning and normalization
Ability to interpret current data
Ability to use databases
And other professionally important skills
After completing each test, students receive detailed recommendations for professional development:
For beginners: comprehensive materials to master the basics – books, online courses, documentation, tools, and communities for developing skills at a preJunior level.
For intermediate level: personalized recommendations adapted to their specific qualification level at a Junior level.
For advanced level: comprehensive materials to achieve an expert level in the field at a Strong Junior level.
