May 29, 2025, the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics held the fourth day of its intensive full-time study week. This day was dedicated to the development of practical skills, design thinking, and meetings with the university's leadership. The day's program included the training "IT-Camera! Create a Video Resume and Case" to enhance video content creation skills, a lecture by Vice-Rector O.I. Lemeshchuk "Why Does an IT Specialist Need Design Thinking?", which revealed the importance of a human-centered approach in development; and a meeting with the Rector of KSU, Professor O.V. Spivakovsky, who shared "Secrets of a Successful Person."
Training "IT-Camera! Create a Video Resume and Case"
The day began with an interactive training session led by Artem Orlyk, head of the KSU video laboratory. During the training, students received valuable advice and practical recommendations on creating effective video content, which is an extremely relevant tool for presenting oneself in today's job market. Participants learned how to create creative video resumes and cases that will help them stand out from other candidates.
Lecture "Why Does an IT Specialist Need Design Thinking?"
Next, a lecture was delivered by Oleksandr Ihorovych Lemeshchuk, Vice-Rector for Digitalization, Innovation, Investment Activities, and Scientific and Pedagogical Work at KSU. Students had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the importance of design thinking in the IT field. This problem-solving approach starts not with an idea but with a person, allowing for the creation of products that truly help users. Thanks to design thinking, one can better understand the customer, leading to fewer conflicts and greater trust. This allows for the creation of products that are actually used, as they are user-experience-oriented and based on live feedback. The Vice-Rector noted that IT specialists are "engineers of meaning," and their code becomes valuable when it touches a person's life.
Lecture "Secrets of a Successful Person"
A key event of the day was a meeting with the Rector of KSU, Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Spivakovsky, during which he delivered a lecture on "Secrets of a Successful Person." The meeting was held in a blended format: in-person at the KSU office in Ivano-Frankivsk and online via the Zoom platform. The Rector shared his experience and valuable advice on achieving success in professional activity and life in general.
The Faculty expresses its sincere gratitude to the university leadership for their dedicated time and invaluable contribution to the development and inspiration of our students.
This day of full-time study once again confirmed the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics' commitment to providing students not only with solid theoretical knowledge but also with modern practical skills necessary for a successful career, particularly in the IT industry.
