On June 6, Pomeranian University in Słupsk, a long-standing and trusted partner of Kherson State University, celebrated its University Day and the Day of Science and Sport. Rector of KSU, Professor Oleksandr Spivakovskiy, joined the festivities along with delegations from various countries, including Ukraine.

He delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Kherson State University and expressed gratitude to the Pomeranian University community, led by Rector Zbigniew Osadowski.

Our partnership has lasted for 15 years. And this is not just a number — it is a history of mutual support, trust, and a shared European journey.

In our darkest days, you reached out to us — and we continue to hold your hand firmly.

In our most critical moments, you stood by us — and we will never forget that.

Over 200 students of Kherson State University have studied or are currently studying at Pomeranian University in Słupsk through double degree and semester exchange programs,” said Oleksandr Spivakovskiy.

As a symbol of friendship and respect, the Rector presented a commemorative gift and conveyed greetings from the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University community and Acting Rector Ihor Tsependa, who previously served as a Ukrainian diplomat in Poland for ten years.

As part of the visit, the KSU delegation also met with students currently studying in Słupsk, colleagues who are temporarily staying in Poland but remain part of the KSU team, and the President of the City of Słupsk, Ms. Krystyna Danilecka-Wojewódzka.
