From June 16 to 20, 2025, a delegation from Kherson State University paid a working visit to the University Côte d’Azur (Nice, France) as part of the International Digitalisation Week 2025. The event was organized with the support of the Erasmus+ programme and held in the format of a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), bringing together representatives from 65 universities across 35 countries.
The KSU delegation included: Rector of the University Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, Vice-Rector for Digitalisation, Innovation, Investment Activity and Academic Work Oleksandr Lemeshchuk, Vice-Rector for International, Social and Humanitarian Affairs and Academic Work Veronika Denysenko, Dean of the Faculty of Education Liubov Petukhova, and Head of the Department for International Initiatives and Project Activities Yevheniia Revenko.
The event focused on key challenges of digital transformation in higher education. The KSU team presented the university's digital platform KSU24, which ensures the automation of educational, administrative, and analytical processes in the context of relocation and full-scale war. This experience sparked keen interest from the international community as an example of adaptive management in times of crisis.
A significant milestone of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Kherson State University and the University Côte d’Azur, solidifying the long-term partnership between the institutions.
The visit also included discussions on preparations for the upcoming 20th International ICTERI-2025 Conference, which will be hosted by the French university this September. The KSU delegation visited the University Côte d’Azur’s technical infrastructure, including server rooms and IT laboratories, and exchanged experience on data protection, backup systems, and the scaling of digital resources.
The knowledge, contacts, and ideas gained during the visit will serve as a foundation for further modernization of KSU’s digital environment and the expansion of international cooperation. Participation in such events allows the university to remain an active player in the European educational space.
For the Faculty of Education, it is especially valuable that its representatives — Professor Liubov Petukhova, Dean of the Faculty, and Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Preschool and Primary Education Veronika Denysenko — were part of the delegation. Their participation enabled the faculty and the university to be represented internationally and to contribute to the discussion of strategic directions for the digital development of education in the European context.
