We sincerely wish the archaeological expedition of KhSU to be able to resume excavations at the Skelka settlement and archaeological monuments of the Kherson region as soon as possible!Until 2008, the holiday was celebrated unofficially, and from August 6, 2008, a professional holiday - Archaeologist's Day was established by decree of the President of Ukraine in order to support the development of domestic archaeology and the study and popularization of the archaeological heritage of Ukraine.
