On September 13, an international online lecture-training “The Art of Self-Motivation” was held, organized by the Ukrainian Educational Hub in Chicago in cooperation with Rescue Now. The event brought together Ukrainians from various countries in Europe, the USA, Asia, as well as participants from Ukraine. Faculty members and students of the pedagogical faculty also joined the event, actively engaging in discussions and completing the tasks.
The speaker of the training, Anastasiia Volianiuk, lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Preschool and Primary Education of Kherson State University, shared insights on the phenomenon of self-motivation, goal-setting techniques, secrets of organizing motivated activity, and methods of dealing with “time thieves.” Participants asked many meaningful questions in the chat, exchanged personal reflections, warm feedback, and valuable insights.
The lecture had a training component: in addition to useful information for everyone interested in the topic, exercises were prepared to help diagnose and strengthen personal motivation, set effective goals, and identify “time thieves” and pseudo-goals.
According to participants’ feedback, they gained a great deal from the lecture, as the topic proved to be highly relevant and practically significant. The speaker noted the strong interest in the event: discussions were lively, and the number and depth of questions demonstrated that this topic is truly pressing for many. More than 40 people joined online, and the organizers also received dozens of requests for a recording and materials from those who could not attend live due to time zone differences across continents.
The online lecture became yet another example of how the Ukrainian community worldwide can unite around education, support, and mutual growth.
