On 17 November 2025, as part of the celebrations marking the 108th anniversary of Kherson State University, an international digital educational and scientific project entitled ‘Linguistic research by contemporary scholars: challenges, discussions, prospects’ was launched. The first topic of the event was the report ‘The Ukrainian Language in Poland in the 21st Century: Problems, Changes, Trends,’ presented by Paweł Lewczuk, a research fellow at the Department of Linguistics of the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The speaker used his own research to show the key trends in the development of the Ukrainian language in Poland, particularly in the educational sphere, drawing attention to the challenges and prospects of teaching it.The event was attended by guests, students and teachers, who had the opportunity to join in the professional discussion, ask questions and share their own observations on the development of the Ukrainian language abroad.The event was important for discussing current trends and prospects for the Ukrainian language in the educational sphere in Poland.
