The parliamentary committee has approved the main rules for the 2026 admission campaign. The NMT model remains unchanged, the DPA is cancelled, and the subject list is confirmed. Special conditions for frontline universities are also preserved. The next step is approval by the Parliament.
The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation has approved the key provisions for the 2026 university admission campaign. The most important point — the National Multisubject Test (NMT) will keep its current format.
✔️ NMT in one day The testing format remains unchanged. Applicants will take the NMT in a single day, just like in previous years.

✔️ Admission will be possible with NMT results from 2023–2026 Applicants will be able to submit NMT results from previous years — from 2023 to 2026.
✔️ The list of NMT subjects remains unchanged
Mandatory: Ukrainian language, Mathematics, History of Ukraine
Optional: Foreign language, Biology, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Ukrainian Literature
✔️ Special conditions for universities in frontline regions remain in force Regional coefficients and other benefits for applicants and institutions located near the frontline will continue to apply.
