The BridgeUSA UPRR program offers Ukrainian teachers the opportunity to participate in a month-long internship at US universities, where they can conduct scientific research in their field, develop new courses, exchange experiences with American specialists, and become familiar with the administrative policies and academic culture of US universities.
✅Who can participate?
Citizens and residents of Ukraine are invited to participate who:- work full-time as teachers or researchers at higher education institutions in Ukraine;- have at least two years of experience at a university;- are fluent in spoken and written English;- are eligible to receive a J-1 non-immigrant visa for participants in exchange programs with the United States;- undertake to return to Ukraine upon completion of the program.
Academic fields for which fellows will be selected- agricultural technologies;- conflict resolution/peace studies;- Engineering;- Information Technology (including Countering Disinformation);- Mental Health;- Education (including teaching and research in medicine/dentistry, focusing on wartime issues and needs);- Urban Planning and Architecture;- Environmental Policy and Management (Post-War Environmental Restoration, Alternative Energy, Sustainable Development, Emergency Response Technologies);- Health and Medicine in Wartime (Prosthetics, Rehabilitation, PTSD Treatment, Biomechanics, etc.).
